Pipebender

The lab has a pipebender located in a yellow box under the drawers. It has bending attachments for pipe radi:

• 8-9mm
• 10-12mm
• 14mm
• 16mm
• 18mm
• 20mm

Pipebender use

• Secure the bottom piece (A), e.g. into a vice
• Place the bending attachment (C) onto the pivot pin
• Based on the chosen attachment diameter and pipe diameter, move the gripping attachment (E) and the outside bending swivel (F) closer or further from the pivot pin; (F) is the same for all attachments
• Put the handle B into the pivot pin
• Pull the handle to get your desired bend angle

Not all types of pipe work equally well, e.g. aluminum squashes rather than bends

The gripping attachment (E) leaves some small serration; use some rubber/fabric to avoid
