Hiili, a.k.a. Mymmeli, a.k.a. DynaMyte 2200

Kyseessä on rungoltaan identtinen laite esim. täällä speksatun Dyna Myte 2400:n kanssa: http://www.machineco.com/milling_mach_vert_cnc_dyna_myte-2400_1.htm Isoin ero tuohon on muistaakseni keskitetyn voitelupumpun puuttuminen. Laite on aika suosittu retrofit-aihio jäykän ja tarkasti hiotun runkonsa ansiosta, googlella löytyy juttua.

Kone jää valmistuttuaan yleiseen labikäyttöön, soveltuen Lottaa paremmin pieniin, esim. kaiverrushommiin (piirilevyt, laatat) monimutkaiset 3D-polut (ei muistirajoitusta)

Laitteeseen on tehty seuraavat parannustoimenpiteet:

  • Alkuperäisen 80-luvun ohjausihmeen korvaaminen LinuxCNC (http://www.linuxcnc.org) + rinnakkaisportti yhdistelmällä
  • Pienten 10:1 alennusvaihteellisten askelmoottoreiden korvaaminen järeämmillä suoravetoisilla
  • Turhia kursailemattomien L298 - stepperiohjaimien päivittäminen nykyaikaisiin, mikrosteppaaviin
  • Rikkinäisen spindleohjaimen vaihtaminen
  • Johdotuksen uusiminen
  • Ohjauselektroniikan kotelointi uuteen koteloon

Carbon, a.k.a. Mymmeli, a.k.a. DynaMyte 2200

This is an identical body, for example, with the Dyna Myte 2400 speculated here: http://www.machineco.com/milling_mach_vert_cnc_dyna_myte-2400_1.htm The biggest difference to that is, I remember, the lack of a centralized lubrication pump. The device is a pretty popular retrofit blank thanks to its rigid and precisely ground body, Google can find the thing.

Once completed, the machine will remain in general lab use, better suited for Lots of small, eg engraving tasks (circuit boards, tiles) complex 3D paths (no memory limit)

The following improvements have been made to the device:

  • Replacing the original 80's control miracle with LinuxCNC (http://www.linuxcnc.org) + parallel port
  • Replacement of small stepper motors with 10: 1 reduction gears with more robust direct drive
  • Upgrading unnecessarily unfamiliar L298 stepper controllers to modern, micro-stepping
  • Replacing a broken spindle controller
  • Wiring replacement
  • Enclosure of control electronics in a new housing

TODO

Seuraavat toimenpiteet odottavat tekijäänsä:

  1. Tee ON/OFF tarrat karan virtakytkimelle
  2. Poista linuxin näytönsäästäjä käytöstä
  3. Hanki karan aukaisuun/kiristykseen omat avaimet (nyt lainattava Lotta-huoneesta)
  4. Vaihda karaa syöttävä suojaerotusmuuntaja isompaan (nykyisen lämpösuoja lyö päälle kovalla kuormituksella), uusi löytyy hyllyltä jyrsimen läheisyydestä
  5. Tee ohjausboksille kunnon tassut (nyt pienet, liimalla kiinnitetyt)
  6. Fiksaa XFCE (valikko kadonnut)
  7. Lisää hätä-seis nappi
  8. Lisää käsiohjain (esim. USB gamepad, tai oikea USB pendant
  9. "standardi" käyttäjätunnukset: hacklab/hacklab
  10. kytkeminen labin verkkoon (halutaanko?)
  11. Piirrä kytkentäkaavio (puhtaaksi) ja lisää wiki-sivulle
  12. Hanki johteiden voiteluun oma öljykannu (nyt lainattava Reinolta)

TODO

The following measures are pending:

  1. Make ON / OFF labels for the spindle power switch
  2. Disable the Linux screen saver
  3. Get your own keys for opening / tightening the spindle (now to be borrowed from the Lotta room)
  4. Get own oil jug for lubrication (now to be borrowed from Reino)
  5. Change the protection isolating transformer supplying the spindle to a larger one (the current thermal protection strikes on under heavy load), a new one can be found on the shelf near the cutter
  6. Make decent paws for the control box (now small, glued)
  7. Fix XFCE (menu lost)
  8. Add an emergency stop button
  9. Add a hand control (eg USB gamepad, or a real USB pendant)

Käyttö

Saatesanat

  1. Ruutaa johteille öljyä (tästä kirjoitettava yksityiskohtainen ohje)
  2. Virrat päälle ohjauskaapin ovessa olevasta kytkimestä (mikäli ei käynnisty, avaa kotelo ja tarkista johdonsuojakytkin)
  3. PC: käynnistys ohjauskaapin ovessa olevasta painonapista
  4. Näyttöön tarvittaessa virrat (nappi näytön alalaidassa keskellä)
  5. Kirjautuminen linuxiin: hiili/hiili
  6. Käynnistä Linux CNC työpöydältä "launch Hiili" - kuvakkeesta
  7. Paina "Toggle Emergency stop" (F1)
  8. Paina "Toggle Machine Power" (F2)
  9. Varmista että koneen ympärillä on vapaata tilaa kotiaseman hakuun
  10. Paina "Home All" -> akselit hakeutuvat kotiasemiinsa

Usage

Foreword

There is still very little experience with the machine. Be careful and write down your attention about the use, and the help will be improved! Drive slowly, your finger on the F1 button, ready to stop. If in doubt, ask. Live drive the tool to the table.

Startup

  1. Powder oil for conductors (detailed instructions to be written here)
  2. Power on the switch on the control cabinet door (if not starting, open the housing and check the circuit breaker)
  3. PC: start from the push button on the control cabinet door
  4. Displays currents as needed (button at the bottom center of the screen)
  5. Logging in to Linux: carbon / carbon
  6. Start Linux CNC from the desktop with the "launch Carbon" icon
  7. Press "Toggle Emergency stop" (F1)
  8. Press "Toggle Machine Power" (F2)
  9. Make sure there is free space around the machine to search for the home station
  10. Press "Home All" -> the axes are retrieved to their home positions

Työstö

Työkappaleen kiinnittäminen
  1. Kiinnitä kappale ruuvipuristimeen tai suoraan pöytään (ohuet levyt helpointa liimata tai teipata, varo ajamasta terää pöytään!)
  2. Esim. piirilevyn saa varmasti tasaiselle pinnalle kun jyrsii (puuhun, muoviin) alueen, johon hieman tarvittavaa isomman levyn kappaleen teippaa kaksipuoleisella teipillä
  3. Tähän lisää esimerkkejä...
Työkalun kiinnittäminen
  1. Valitse (CAM:issa määrittelemäsi) työkalu (tappeja löytyy tällä hetkellä metallityöhuoneesta)
  2. Valitse työkalulle sopiva kolletti tarvikelaatikosta (kolletteja on 0.5mm välein, valitse lähin koko)
  3. Vaihda kolletti paikalleen karaan (aseta kolletti mutterissa olevan huulen alle!) (työkalut löytyvät tällä hetkellä metallityöhuoneesta)
  4. Aseta terä paikoilleen ja kiristä
  5. Säädä kara hyvälle korkeudelle (huomaa että voit nostaa ja kääntää kara-asetelmaa tolpassa ja säätää pinolia kahvasta), tarkista ettei Z-akselin polvi voi osua ruuvipenkkiin!

Machining

Clamping the workpiece
  1. Attach the piece to a vise or directly to the table (thin plates are easiest to glue or tape, be careful not to run the blade on the table!)
  2. For example, you can definitely get a circuit board on a flat surface when milling an area (wood, plastic) where you need to tape a piece of a larger board with double-sided tape.
  3. Here are more examples ...
Attaching the tool
  1. Select a tool (defined in the CAM) (pins are currently found in the metal workroom)
  2. Select the appropriate collet for the tool from the accessory box (there are collets every 0.5mm, select the nearest size)
  3. Replace the collet on the spindle (place the collet under the lip on the nut!) (Tools can currently be found in the metal workroom)
  4. Insert the blade and tighten
  5. Adjust the spindle to a good height (note that you can lift and turn the spindle setup on the post and adjust the stack on the handle), check that the Z-axis knee cannot hit the vise!
G - koodin lataaminen
  1. Kirjoita tai generoi G-koodi omalla PC:lläsi
  2. Siirrä tiedosto USB-muistitikulla (tulevaisuudessa verkon yli?) Hiilen PC:lle
  3. Avaa tiedosto Linux CNC:llä
Jyrsinnän aloittaminen
  1. Työkalun pitää olla tässä vaiheessa kiinni
  2. Voit liikuttaa (JOG:ata) akseleita manuaalisesti nuoli- ja page up/down - näppäimillä, nopeutta voit säätää "Jog Speed" - liu'ulla. Vaihtamalla "Continuous" - valinnan pudotusvalikosta milliarvoihin, akseli liikkuu määrätyn millimäärän per painallus.
  3. Tee "Touch Off" CAM:issa määrittemästäsi kohdasta kappaleessa "Touch Off" - napilla
  4. Käynnistä karamoottori kytkimestä (jos käytät yli 5kRPM nopeutta, kiihdytä nupista vääntämällä, muutoin ohjain trippaa)
  5. Rajoita koneen maksiminopeutta reilusti "Max Velocity" - liukusäätimellä
  6. Klikkaa "Begin Executing current file" - nuoli-ikonia (näppäimistöltä: R) -> kone lähtee suorittamaan G-koodia
  7. Seuraa ohjelman etenemistä ja ole valmiina painamaan F1 - nappia jos jokin näyttää menevän pieleen
Loading G Code
  1. Enter or generate a G code on your own PC
  2. Transfer the file to a PC with a USB memory stick (in the future over the network?)
  3. Open the file with Linux CNC
Start milling
  1. The tool must be closed at this point
  2. You can move the axes (JOG) manually with the arrow and page up / down keys, you can adjust the speed with the "Jog Speed" slider. By changing the "Continuous" option from the drop-down menu to millimeter, the axis moves a specified millimeter per press.
  3. Make a "Touch Off" of the point you specified on the CAM in the piece with the "Touch Off" button
  4. Start the spindle motor from the clutch (if you are using a speed higher than 5kRPM, accelerate by turning the knob, otherwise the controller will trip)
  5. Limit the maximum speed of the machine considerably with the "Max Velocity" slider
  6. Click the "Begin Executing current file" arrow icon (from the keyboard: R) -> the machine starts executing G code
  7. Follow the progress of the program and be prepared to press the F1 key if something seems to go wrong
Jyrsinnän lopettaminen
  1. G-koodin suorittaminen loppuu automaattisesti, mutta kara pitää pysäyttää manuaalisesti kytkimestä
  2. Lataa tarvittaessa seuraava koodi (ja vaihda tarvittaessa työkalu ja tee sille Z-akselin touch off)
  3. Kun jyrsintä on valmis, pura setup ja puhdista kone (harjalla, pölynimurilla)
  4. Palauta työkalut
  5. Sulje Linux CNC
  6. Sammuta PC (paina PC-nappia ohjauskeskuksen etupaneelista ja valitse "Shut down"
  7. PC:n sammuttua väännä pääkytkin 0 - asentoon
  8. Sammuta näyttö (nappi näytön alalaidassa keskellä)
Stopping milling
  1. Execution of the G code stops automatically, but the spindle must be stopped manually from the switch
  2. If necessary, download the following code (and change the tool if necessary and make it Z-axis touch off)
  3. When milling is complete, disassemble the setup and clean the machine (with a brush, vacuum cleaner)
  4. Restore tools
  5. Close Linux CNC
  6. Turn off the PC (press the PC button on the control panel front panel and select "Shut down"
  7. When the PC is turned off, turn the main switch to the 0 position
  8. Turn off the screen (button at the bottom center of the screen)
